What the daily rate includes
- Delivery and collection anywhere in Bangkok, included in the rate, no minimum days
- Third party liability insurance
- A helmet for every two wheel rental
- A full tank at delivery
- A phone number that answers while you have the bike
What it does not include
- Fuel. Return it as it arrived. The Monster holds 14 litres, so a full fill is a few hundred baht at any PTT or Bangchak.
- Tolls. Motorcycle rates are lower than car rates and are posted at each plaza. Bangkok to Hua Hin is roughly ฿100 to ฿150 each way in a car.
- Traffic fines. Yours. Helmet enforcement is real and cameras on Rama IV and Vibhavadi are real.
- Delivery well outside the metro. A small fee may apply. Confirmed before you pay, never after.
- Late returns. Rentals run per calendar day. Tell NOIRR early and an extension is simple. Tell NOIRR at 9pm and it is another day.
The deposit, and the passport rule
The NOIRR deposit is refundable, taken in cash or by card, and the amount is confirmed at booking before you commit. NOIRR does not hold your passport. Not for an hour, not as a formality.
This matters more in Bangkok than anywhere else. Shops around Khao San Road and much of Sukhumvit still ask for a passport as security on a 250 baht per day scooter, and the big bike shops that do not hold documents typically want ฿10,000 to ฿40,000 in cash instead. Your passport is the property of the government that issued it, you need it for hotel check in, a hospital, or any police stop, and handing it to a shop for three days is a bad trade at any price.
NOIRR photographs the vehicle at delivery and again at collection, both sides see the same record, and the deposit returns in full when the bike does. Full detail: the Bangkok rental deposit guide.
Licence: the cost people forget
An International Driving Permit costs roughly ฿600 to ฿900 equivalent from your national automobile association and lasts 12 months. For any NOIRR motorcycle it must carry the motorcycle class (Category A). A car only IDP does not cover a motorbike, and your travel insurance is void on the same technicality. A Thai motorcycle licence works too.
What a week costs
| Scenario | 7 days | Notes |
| Ducati Monster 937 from NOIRR | ฿24,500 at the daily rate | Bookable now. Ask for the weekly rate, it is lower. |
| Khao San scooter shop, 125cc | ฿1,750 to ฿2,800 | Cheaper. Passport usually held, insurance usually unclear. |
| Bangkok big bike shop, 650cc to 900cc | ฿17,500 to ฿28,000 | You collect from the shop. Deposit ฿10,000 to ฿40,000 or passport. |
| Grab, moderate daily use | ฿4,200 to ฿7,000 | Cheaper if you barely move. No day trips, no 6am departures. |
NOIRR is not the cheapest way to get around Bangkok and does not pretend to be. It is the version where the bike arrives at your door, the paperwork is 15 minutes, and your passport stays in your pocket.
How to book
Pick your dates from the calendar at noirr.co/book, add a delivery area, and NOIRR replies within a few hours. Rates for 5 days or more are lower, so say the length in the notes.
